Saasy Logs
What works today
What has changed
Every release, newest first. The version matches the one in the add-on's
About box, so if something looks wrong you can say which
one you were on.
Known, and not fixed yet
- Very large logs. Logs over about 10 MB may not finish
inside Google's 6-minute limit for a single run.
- One log at a time. When a save hands work to a future,
queueable or batch job, that work is in a different log, and the two
aren't joined up yet.
- The object path isn't built yet. The code path shows which
trigger fired what; which records were touched, in order, is next.
- Limits in other languages. If your org isn't set to
English, the limits table says it couldn't read the numbers rather than
showing them.
- The scrub has no settings. It always replaces the text
of debug statements whole, even when that text is what you wanted to
send.
- Shared filters. Two people filtering the same Trace tab
at the same time change each other's view. A filter view you make in
Sheets (Data → Filter views) is yours alone.
v0.11.1 3 October 2026 · 4a6091e
Fixed
- The scrubbed copy now removes personal details from rule filter
conditions, such as a contact's name or an account name. Names of
things you configured, like profiles and record types, stay, so the
log keeps its context.
Changed
- Account names are treated as personal data in the scrubbed copy,
alongside contact names and emails.
v0.11.0 3 October 2026 · a43dd5d
New
- Big logs run about three times faster. A 25 MB log went from
136 seconds to 44: the log is compressed before it is sent, and
the scrubbed copy is written at the same time as the analysis instead
of after it.
- The Summary ends with a Run time line saying how
long each part took, matching what the dialog shows.
- The code path and the method table give each value its own column:
kind, how many times it ran, total time and object; calls, self time,
total time, SOQL and DML.
Changed
- Times in the tables stay in milliseconds (174,256 ms rather than
174.26 s), so a big number looks big next to a small one.
- The Summary and Trace tabs end where their data does, with no spare
rows and columns.
- File sizes count the way your Mac does, so the dialog and Finder
agree.
- The About box fits without scrolling and links to this page.
v0.10.1 2 October 2026 · f7fe757
Changed
- The Summary's title and the line under it are centred.
v0.10.0 2 October 2026 · d11bb29
New
- A new look for the Summary, Trace and Scrubbed tabs, matching this
site: warm, light colours, clear bands for each section, and taller
rows.
- Severity and Kind show as coloured labels, so a critical finding or a
trigger stands out at a glance.
- When a run finishes, the dialog says how long each part took:
reading the log, building the sheets, and writing the scrubbed copy.
Changed
- The analyze dialog and About box use the same colours as the sheet.
v0.9.0 1 October 2026 · 462ffb1
New
- Every run adds its own tabs (Summary, Trace and Scrubbed) named after
your label. Nothing already in your spreadsheet is overwritten, including
a tab of your own called Summary.
- Replace my last run reuses your previous run's tabs
instead of adding new ones. It only ever touches tabs the add-on made.
v0.8.0 1 October 2026 · 604a790
New
- Every analysis also writes a scrubbed copy of the log, ready to send.
One paste does both.
Changed
- The separate Scrub a log for sharing menu item is gone, since
Analyze now does it. The explanation of what scrubbing replaces and keeps
is in the About box.
v0.7.0 1 October 2026 · b57db60
New
- Upload a
.log file instead of pasting: Choose
file, or drop it on the dialog. The file name becomes the label
unless you've typed one.
v0.6.2 1 October 2026 · 6d4fff3
Fixed
- The limits table only highlighted limits behind the boxes you'd
ticked, so a blown CPU limit could sit there unhighlighted. It now
highlights every limit the log actually used.
v0.6.1 29 September 2026 · 1c6c31e
Fixed
- Record IDs are kept in the scrubbed copy wherever they appear. One
position in the log was still replacing them.
v0.6.0 29 September 2026 · a55e192
New
- While a log is being read, the dialog counts the seconds, and after 15
it says large logs take a while. A slow run no longer looks like a dead one.
Fixed
- What happened now names a thrown exception, not only a fatal
error.
- A transaction that died was sometimes recorded as only an exception,
when the error and the exception carried the same message.
v0.5.0 28 September 2026 · 25f5412
New
- The code path. A short map at the top of the Summary:
which trigger fired, what it set off, on which object, and how many
times.
v0.4.0 28 September 2026 · 184c327
Fixed
- Any log you can analyse can now be scrubbed. There was a lower size
limit on scrubbing.
Changed
- Unlogged gaps are one finding with the rest added up beneath it,
instead of five findings for one fact.
- Shorter dialogs.
v0.3.0 28 September 2026 · 9a18435
Fixed
- The same milliseconds were ranked twice, once as an unlogged gap and
once as time spent in code. They're one finding now.
v0.2.3 28 September 2026 · efdc4e0
Fixed
- Lines in the scrubbed log were cut off at the edge of the first column.
The note about what was scrubbed now sits above the log.
v0.2.2 28 September 2026 · c6f6f96
Changed
- The limits table is grouped by namespace, each group whole, with the
limits every namespace shares (CPU time and heap) first.
v0.2.1 25 September 2026 · 8b335f6
New
- A scrubbed copy of the log for sharing, and a warning on the Summary
when the log holds emails or similar.
- Three depths for the Trace (High, Medium, Low), and the sheet says
when two of them come out the same.
- Namespace and Called From columns. Validation rules and workflow rules
are named, and triggers, classes, flows and workflows are told apart.
- SOQL, SOSL, DML and callouts can each be shown or hidden. Hiding rows
never changes the totals.
Fixed
- It refuses to print totals that can't be true, such as the same log
pasted in twice, and says so when it couldn't read the limits.
- A second run in the same sheet showed the old results until you
reloaded the page.
Changed
- The pasted log is no longer held in Google's cache for six hours.
That served a re-run feature which is gone.
v0.1.0 14 September 2026 · 44975fa
New
- First version. Paste a debug log into a Google Sheet and get a Summary
that opens in plain language, a ranked shortlist of findings, and the
full Trace, indented, in the order it ran.
